About Us New
We are a group of Eastern Bay of Plenty residents who believe in our EBoP community and our future.
As a response to the COVID 19 Pandemic, we worked remotely during the lockdown to create this online platform. We see the potential of our community working collectively to support our businesses, young people, and communities, to not only survive in a C19 world but to THRIVE!
This website was designed as a platform to help, to build up, and to connect Eastern Bay communities, not to make money (as its run as a social enterprise).
Connect EBoP has multiple functions that could aide our Eastern Bay communities' recovery from the pandemic.
- a call for action, and a way for our collective communities to help one another get through this trying time
- Local Training
- Local Jobs Search
- Project Help
- Online Store, providing a low cost, safety net, for our region's mum and pop stores despite future alert levels
The Connect Eastern Bay platform provides a way to help young people, families/whanau, businesses, and organisations get through the coming recovery period and beyond.
"It's about working together to build up and support our Eastern Bay of Plenty Community to not only survive but to thrive!"
Giving Back to our EBoP Community
Once site overheads are paid out, and any improvements to the platform have been made (as requested by our members), all remaining income will be given back to our community, charities or projects as voted on by our membership.
We would also like to give a BIG Thank you to the following organisations for their assistance in making this platform a reality: our local schools, Leah Brandt, Unsplash, Help Tank, The E Network Trust, Webkul, Canva.
Sharing your knowledge and ninja skills were pivotal to the site's inception and success. Thank you for seeing the potential of our platform and our EBoP Community!
If we have made an error, a link does not work properly, or a photo has not been accurately referenced, please contact us to make things right!
